Why We Put Our Phones in Airplane Mode | Ansys Everyday Engineering
Переглядів 3,1 тис.Місяць тому
Ever wondered why flight attendants always ask us to put our cell phones in airplane mode? It all comes down to something called electromagnetic interference (EMI). In this episode of Everyday Engineering, we delve into how EMI can disrupt communication in an aircraft and why even our cell phone antennas can contribute to the noise. Discover how engineers minimize these impacts through simulati...

Hello teacher, your classes are exceptionally good and important. I am working with optimization in Workbench and the decision parameter is a Fluent variable. This variable is not a constant value, it has a small variation in the last one thousand iterations. I would like to calculate the average of this variable and make it the decisive parameter in the workbench. Is this possible? I am using pyANSYS and pyFluent.

Has anyone tried to do the summation by substituting the terms at 3:49? Wouldn't that result in additional terms of (2σ_xx/ΔX + 2σ_xy/ΔY + 2σ_xz/ΔZ)? However, these terms were eliminated and do not appear on the next slide at 4:04 in the force balance equation ΣF_x = 0. Does anyone know why?

Nice lecture, but poor choice of music. Six minutes is a long time to loop the same 3-seconds of guitar. If you must add annoying music, at least make it a bit quieter.

Thank you for the lesson Sir. I am actually working on the dynamic analysis of a reinforced concrete bridge structure. But when I carried out numerical modal analysis considering 30 modes I realized the sum of my mass participation ratio for each mode is not even up to 80% of total mass, highest was at 77%. My main problem is: about the first 20 mode shapes had really small mass participation and instead of the first modes contributing a lot to the mass, I had the last modes contributing instead (to have up to 77% mass participation). From my knowledge of modal analysis, the first modes are usually the most important and the ones contributing a lot, but that's not the case with my analysis results. What could possibly be the problem Sir? (I assigned boundary conditions to both ends of the bridge)
